Practical support for families, carers, professionals, and organisations
Personality Disorders CIC exists for one simple reason. Too many families, carers, and professionals are trying to deal with extremely difficult situations without the support or knowledge they need.
Why Our Services Matter
Personality disorders can bring intense emotions, relationship conflicts, and crisis situations that leave people feeling lost, exhausted, and alone. Many carers are doing their best to help someone they love, but no one has ever shown them how.
Our services aim to change that.
We are a non profit organisation, and our main goal is to reduce the suffering experienced by families, carers, and professionals who face these challenges every day. Because of this, our services are offered at heavily reduced prices compared with most training or consultancy providers.
If you are interested in any of the services below, please contact us and we will happily explain the options and provide current prices.
Services for Carers and Families
Caring for someone with a personality disorder can be emotionally exhausting. Many carers feel like they are constantly walking on eggshells. Others are dealing with repeated crises, emotional outbursts, or self destructive behaviours that are frightening and confusing.
Most families receive very little guidance on how to manage these situations.
Our services are designed to give carers knowledge, support, and practical tools so they can respond in a calmer and more confident way, while also protecting their own wellbeing.
Free Carer Webinars
Our free webinars are the starting point for parents and carers who want to better understand what is happening at home and why the same painful patterns often keep repeating.
These sessions offer practical insight into emotional escalation, conflict, boundaries, and the pressures carers face when supporting someone with a personality disorder.
They are designed to help you see the situation more clearly and decide what support or tools may help you next.
Carer Response Workbook
This practical workbook is the next step after the webinar. It is designed for carers who want something structured, affordable, and immediately useful before moving into more personalised support.
- Understanding behaviours in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
- Recognising patterns in Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)
- Responding to emotional escalation and conflict
Each workbook focuses on a specific personality disorder and provides practical tools, scripts, and guidance you can apply at home.
This is not a comprehensive list. Additional workbooks are available for other personality disorder presentations.
Carer Stabilisation Session
When you need guidance tailored to your own family situation, the Parent Stabilisation Session is the next step.
This is a focused one to one session where we look at what is happening, identify the patterns that may be keeping things stuck, and help you create a clear and practical plan for what to do next.
It is designed for parents and carers who want more than general information and are ready to start applying change in a structured way.
Path Out of Crisis
For families who need deeper and more sustained support, we offer a structured pathway beyond the stabilisation stage.
This includes tailored personalised support with 34 courses, one to one work, and practical learning materials designed to help carers build confidence, reduce escalation, and create greater stability over time.
This pathway is for those who are ready to move beyond short term coping and begin making lasting changes in how they respond.
“Our aim is simple. To help families, carers, and professionals feel less alone, better prepared, and more supported.”
Services for Organisations and Professionals
Many professionals work with people who experience extreme emotional distress, crisis situations, or complex relationship patterns. Without proper training, these situations can quickly become stressful and emotionally draining for staff.
We provide training and support that helps staff understand what may be happening and how to respond in a calm and constructive way.
Our goal is to help organisations protect both staff wellbeing and the people they support.
Staff Training Workshops
We offer workshops for organisations either online or face to face. These sessions help staff understand the behaviours and emotional patterns often seen in personality disorders, and how to respond without escalating the situation.
- Understanding emotional dysregulation
- Responding calmly to crisis situations
- Managing difficult conversations
- Setting professional boundaries
- Protecting staff wellbeing
The sessions are practical, realistic, and designed for people working on the front line.
Online Training for Staff
Organisations can also give their teams access to our online training platform. These short courses allow staff to build knowledge and confidence at their own pace.
They are especially useful for larger teams who need flexible training options.
Topics include recognising behavioural patterns, improving communication, and managing emotionally challenging interactions.
Support for Staff
Working with people in severe distress can take a real emotional toll.
Staff sometimes carry the weight of difficult conversations, crisis situations, and intense emotional interactions long after their shift has finished.
We offer discounted one to one support sessions for staff who feel emotionally affected by their work. These sessions provide a confidential space where professionals can talk things through and find ways to protect their own wellbeing.
Reduced Non Profit Pricing
Because we are a non profit organisation, these services are offered at significantly reduced prices compared with most private training providers.
If your organisation would like to arrange training or staff support, please contact us to discuss your needs and request a quote.
Courses and Learning Platform
Personality Disorders CIC offers structured psychoeducation courses for families, carers, and professionals who want to better understand personality disorders and learn practical ways to respond to challenging situations.
Our courses explain the psychological mechanisms behind emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and crisis behaviour. The goal of psychoeducation is to help families understand what is happening, communicate more effectively, and create a more stable environment that supports recovery.
Course materials are delivered through our learning platform, where participants can access lessons, resources, and structured learning modules.
Access to courses is not open registration. If you would like to participate, please contact us directly so we can guide you to the appropriate course.
Events
Throughout the year we organise educational and community events designed to support families, carers, and professionals who want to better understand personality disorders and how to respond to challenging situations.
Our events may include webinars, talks, and discussions where participants can learn from clinical knowledge, lived experience, and practical strategies that help families and professionals navigate complex emotional and relational difficulties.
Details of upcoming events, including dates, times, and locations, are published on our events page together with an archive of previous activities.
