Helping the people who support those living with personality disorders
Caring for someone with a personality disorder can feel frightening, exhausting, confusing, and lonely. Many people are left trying to manage emotional crises, conflict, self-destructive behaviour, or intense distress with almost no guidance. We exist to give carers, families, and professionals understanding, practical tools, and compassionate support.
You do not have to carry this alone
We support carers, families, and staff who are trying to help people suffering from personality disorders.
Our work combines lived experience, deep empathy, and psychoeducation based on evidence-based psychotherapies so people feel less lost and more able to cope.
For carers and families
We help the people living with the day-to-day emotional reality of personality disorder at home.
For staff and organisations
We provide practical training and support for professionals working with distress, crisis, and complexity.
For confidence and hope
Our aim is to help people feel steadier, more informed, and less alone when things are hard.
We are a not-for-profit organisation in the UK that helps carers and families across the world
Our Values and Mission
We use lived experience and psychoeducation based on evidence-based psychotherapies to educate carers. We also bring huge empathy to this work because we have gone through the same kind of struggle ourselves. That combination matters. People need compassion, but they also need knowledge they can actually use.
Lived experience gives depth
Many carers feel unseen. They are often told to stay calm, set boundaries, or look after themselves, but very few people explain what that feels like in real life when a home is under strain. We understand the exhaustion, fear, guilt, confusion, and grief that carers can carry. That understanding shapes the way we teach and support.
Knowledge gives direction
Our educational approach is informed by therapies and models that have real clinical value, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Good Psychiatric Management. We turn complex ideas into simple, useful learning that carers and professionals can understand and use in everyday situations.
Our approach is informed by established psychological models used in personality disorder support, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), and related evidence-based approaches. We translate these ideas into practical tools that carers can use in real-life situations.
Services for Carers and Families
Caring for someone with a personality disorder can be emotionally exhausting. Many carers feel like they are constantly walking on eggshells. Others are dealing with repeated crises, emotional outbursts, or self-destructive behaviours that are frightening and confusing. Most families receive very little guidance on how to manage these situations. Our services are designed to give carers knowledge, support, and practical tools so they can respond in a calmer and more confident way while also protecting their own wellbeing.
Webinars
Our online webinars are the starting point for carers who want to better understand what is happening at home. These sessions focus on real-life situations, including emotional escalation, conflict, boundaries, and the pressures carers face when supporting someone with a personality disorder.
The aim is to give you clarity and practical ideas you can begin using straight away.

Services for Organisations and Professionals
Many professionals work with people who experience extreme emotional distress, crisis situations, or complex relationship patterns. Without proper training, these situations can quickly become stressful and emotionally draining for staff. We provide training and support that helps staff understand what may be happening and how to respond in a calm and constructive way. Our goal is to help organisations protect both staff wellbeing and the people they support.
Staff Training Workshops
We offer workshops for organisations either online or face to face. These sessions help staff understand the behaviours and emotional patterns often seen in personality disorders, and how to respond without escalating the situation.
The sessions are practical, realistic, and designed for people working on the front line.
More InformationOnline Training for Staff
Organisations can also give their teams access to our online training platform. These short courses allow staff to build knowledge and confidence at their own pace. They are especially useful for larger teams who need flexible training options.
Topics include recognising behavioural patterns, improving communication, and managing emotionally challenging interactions.
More InformationSupport for Staff
Working with people in severe distress can take a real emotional toll. Staff sometimes carry the weight of difficult conversations, crisis situations, and intense emotional interactions long after their shift has finished.
We offer discounted one-to-one support sessions for staff who feel emotionally affected by their work.
